DroneSense Joins Versaterm to Advance Public Safety Drone Response

We have exciting news to share: DroneSense has been acquired by Versaterm, a trusted leader in public safety technology.

Versaterm serves hundreds of agencies across North America with mission-critical systems like Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), and real-time operations platforms. Many of those agencies already use both Versaterm and DroneSense - and now, we’re officially joining forces.

A Powerful Partnership for Public Safety

This acquisition is more than just a milestone - it’s a major opportunity to deepen the connection between DroneSense and the platforms agencies already rely on every day. Our shared vision is simple: equip first responders with smarter, more unified tools to improve outcomes and save lives.

What stays the same: everything that makes DroneSense the most comprehensive drone software platform for public safety.

You’ll still have access to:

  • DroneSense Pilot – supporting the most widely used drones in public safety.

  • OpsHub – real-time situational awareness across and within agencies.

  • AirBase – automated data collection and compliance reporting.

  • DroneSense Remote – industry-leading Drone as First Responder (DFR) software.

  • All current third-party integrations.

What’s changing: with Versaterm’s backing, we’re positioned to move faster - accelerating innovation, expanding integrations, and delivering even more value to the agencies we serve.

No Disruption - Just Momentum

There are no immediate changes to your access, service, support, or billing. You’ll keep working with the same DroneSense team and using the same tools you rely on today.

For our Axon Air customers, nothing changes either. Axon will continue to resell and support DroneSense products, and existing integrations remain fully in place.

Looking Ahead

Together with Versaterm, we’re excited to:

  • Enhance situational awareness across the entire Versaterm ecosystem.

  • Build deeper integrations with CAD, RMS, and real-time response systems.

  • Continue developing the best technology for first responders.

We’re proud to take this next step - and even prouder to take it with you.
