George Mason University Police might not be the first organization that comes to mind when you think of a drone program, but they started the drone revolution in Northern Virginia. Born out of a tragic event in Charlottesville, and the desire to keep their campus safe, they knew exactly what to do.

Since it's inception, their program has not only grown in sophistication, but eighty percent of their missions are mutual aid to agencies near and far. They credit their drone program with changing the way they approach public safety and are proud of their ability to enhance situational awareness for other agencies seeking assistance.
